Pace setting Activities


Saraswathi Sisu Mandir, Ongole was abuzz with students, Teachers and Resource persons sharing wisdom, diligence and skill on 16th and 17th September, 2016 to make the new generation sophisticated in rich Indian Culture and Moral values. It was a prestigious occasion for a team of Navodaya Students and Staff to participate in the Workshop held under the aegis of Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India aimed at the Conservation and promotion of Indian Culture.

        Sri S.Chandra Sekharam, Pace Setting Incharge, Smt. Ananta Sri (PET) & Twenty Navodaya students attended the Workshop on 16th Sept. that was meant to generate scientific temper &zeal to take them to the zenith of their carrer. As many as 200 students from local schools too participated.  Displaying amazing prowess & great expertise, the Resource persons from Science faculty and Mobile services charged up the atmosphere with the Knowledge of the scientific achievements of Indian Scientists in past and in Contemporary era. Responding to a plethora of questions from the young scientists, they could convincingly transport them to a world of Science. Thus the experiences of students and Staff were treasure worthy.

         Second day of the workshop featured Guest lectures, Interaction sessions, Creative writing, Problem solving tasks and Discussions on Bharatiya Ethos and social issues. In a bid to create emotional integration among the younger generation through moral upliftment, five broad headings, Good Conduct, Nationalism, Spiritualism, Ethos and Yoga were dealt. Noted personalities from Social organizations and Educational Dept.  Including Sri S.Chandra Sekharam TGT(Telugu) from JNVO struck a chord 

with all participants and exhorted them to imbibe the values which great men had espoused during their illustrious lives. Interaction sessions cantered round showering care and concern on children, women and aged. Efforts were made to sensitize the students with their social responsibilities by denouncing the atrocities against weaker sections. It provided them a right platform to hone their writing skills, to unravel their innate talent and to transform their ideas into words. A session on Yoga and Meditation had on impressive note with a set of rules for a healthy and peaceful life. Thus the session ended with the recurring rounds of applause from all corners. In toto, the result was quite astounding as the participants were enriched with Indian culture and values.


        No wonder, the students of Navodaya kept the viewers riveted through their bubbling enthusiasm to learn and serve. Obviously, they were awarded citations. Sri.S.Chandra Sekharam garnered the attention of all for his cherished contribution. He was honoured with a token of appreciation. The initiation of vidyalaya Principal, Smt.T.Jayasree for the elevation of students and rich contribution of her team of teachers to the society earned the vidyalaya wide accolades from the organizers and public.

WORLD AIDS DAY ON 01-12-2016

In an initiative, aimed at creating a wide awareness among students, staff and public, the vidyalaya observed ‘World AIDS Day’ on 1st Dec 2016.  Speeches, Display of charts, Rally and Slogans marked AIDS Day with a thrust on HIV/AIDS free society.

        Students of Class XI presented a detailed account on History of HIV/AIDS and the objectives of world AIDS Day. The significance of the day was briefed and the students were encouraged to Know AIDS for No AIDS. Informing the students about the rally, the vidyalaya Principal, Smt.T.Jayasree exhorted the students to play an instrumental role in spreading awareness about AIDS among public and announced the theme of the year 2016, ‘Hands up for #HIV prevention’.


        Charts and Articles displayed in the vidyalya threw light upon the symptoms and precautionary measures of AIDS. Students of class XI took out a rally that traversed through the main streets of the town under the guidance of Sri.Sudhir Kumar Yadav, PGT(Computers), Smt.K.Ananta Sri, PET and Sri.I.Rama Rao, ART Teacher at 09:30AM. They raised catchy slogans enroute the rally spreading awareness about prevention of AIDS. Thus the efforts of students and staff reflected their urge to maintain a Healthy Society.
